Neurological Rehabilitation Program
At least one-third of the department's patients require rehabilitation, which makes a dedicated pediatric rehab facility a welcome component of our vast continuum of care. Services are designed for children with any type of neurological illness or injury impacting cognitive, physical, emotional, social, psychological and/or educational functioning. JFK operates one of the state’s largest outpatient centers for pediatric rehabilitation incorporating physical, occupational and speech therapy as well as programs for social development and other vital skills that help patients optimize their independence and quality of life. These services are complemented by home care and school- or community-based programs.
